What to pack

This is a great chance to offer to share/practice skills with others.

You may like to reflect on whether there is anything that you would like to contribute to the community, and what you might need to bring or ask for to be able to do so.

There will be some basic tables and chairs available in the dining area for meal times, but for extra comfort you may wish to bring your own camping or garden chairs for sitting round the camping area, fire pit and in workshops rather than carting chairs up from the dining area.

We have enough plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery for everyone (including smaller items and high chairs for younger campers).

Water bottle: You might find ease in having your own reusable water bottle to hand as the site is large and last year it was very hot!

Camping: tents, mats, ground sheet, mallet, tent pegs, dustpan and brush, warm bedding, air beds and pump, sleeping/yoga matt, lantern/torch and batteries. (Note: We only have mains lighting in the dining area so bringing your own lighting is important, the woods get very dark at night).

Toilet roll is provided by us!!

Clothing: for hot, cold and wet weather; warm nightwear; spare shoes and boots.

Bag: You may want to bring a tote bag or rucksack to carry things like a water bottle in, so that you don’t need to walk across the site unnecessarily to your tent, which can be challenging especially if running late for a workshop!

Camping Trolley: Useful for carting things to/from the car and across the vast field space. I used mine to cart my one year old son and his toys around the field last year! (Not easy to get down to the kitchen area due to steps).

Comfort: ear plugs/eye masks, pegs for drying clothes, insect repellent, sun screen, tissue packs, hot water bottles, extra blankets, towels

Fun: Guitars, drums, other instruments, books, toys, games (especially games we can play as a community on the field!)
