Feedback from a previous camp
“For me it was an amazing retreat, rest from cooking, home and daily routine,
I was among friendly people, who gave me their time and
knowledge and gave time to my kids too. This is so much appreciated.”
With two workshop slots a day, and multiple offerings in each slot it is a great place to learn new techniques and different processes.
If you just want to relax in a supportive NVC based community it is the ideal opportunity to do that.
You can attend as many or as few workshops as you like and even if you go to a workshop in every slot there is still plenty of time to relax and share your experiences with others and connect in different ways.
We believe that providing meals and giving everyone the opportunity to eat together increases the sense of community and gives more opportunity to connect with others and grow your NVC experience.
“A sense of community which I have never experienced before, and it felt incredible.”
Living NVC
The camp is about much more than just workshops and structured meetings, it is a chance to be in community and hangout with like minded people with a shared interest in NVC, to make connections and practice living NVC in real situations, not just roleplays.
Each year we establish several Empathy Groups with an aim that all attendees (should they wish to participate) have a safe place and familiar group of people throughout the week, to give and receive empathy, feel seen and be understood.
“Empathy Groups which are a godsend of
witnessing learning and support, a place to anchor myself”
We encourage everybody to be in choice about what activities they do or don’t do.
Some people will only go to one or two workshops over the whole camp, others will go to one every session.
Preparing dinner in a small group for a couple of hours, going for a walk, or even having a chat over a hot drink and sitting round the fire can be just as beneficial and connecting as a workshop.

“So many beautiful people I met and connections I made”
Feedback from a 10 year old.
“I met friends I knew and made new friends, We went to the beach and swam in big waves, Maddie swam right next to a seal and didn’t see it. I slept in a tent and a cabin and helped to make and serve food. We could make up our own games together”.
